Many Languages Many Words - Performance?

Hello,

I have recently bought localisation from unity asset store.

I will make a word game and I want to use google translate option in terms section in language resource prefab, for translation.

Can I choose as many languages as I want without slowing the game?

There will be a few thousands of words to be translated.

If i choose 30 languages to be translated will it slow the game?

Does it cause performance issues for mobile?

Hi,
There shouldn't be any noticeable performance different between having just a few or a lot of terms once the app is loaded.
One my automated tests uses 300000 terms, so a few thousands should be just fine. The plugin uses dictionary to quickly lookup the translations so it scales very well with the number of terms.

The major issue with having lots of terms in your app will come down to memory. But by default (unless you change the settings), the plugin will unload from memory all unused languages until the user switches the current language.
