Change Material on Textmesh Pro was created by dereklam0528
Hello,
I am very new to this asset. But I am using Textmesh pro to display my text. Is it possible to change its material when displaying different languages?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes, you can change the TextMeshPro font/material.
It can be done by one of two ways:
1- Add a secondary term and set it to TMP Font or Material type. Then set your font assets or materials per language.
inter-illusion.com/assets/I2Localization...FontperLanguage.html
or
2- In your translation, set the name of the Font/Material as a tag at the beginning of the text
(e.g. instead of "This is an example", add "[MaterialName]This is an example"
Hope that helps,
Frank

Hello,
I have some Vietnamese translation, but the font is not exactly like English font. And because Textmesh Pro has this fallback feature, it will try to look for English character first, which means for example "Thành Tích Ẩn", it will use English font for "Th" and then "à" will use the Vietnam font. Then "n" will be the English font again. This looks very strange, I have already used both main term and secondary term, I don't know what else I can do. Can you please help?
Thanks.
