Some times its useful to use a different font for some languages. That avoids packing unused characters in the same font and allows saving memory.

That way, Chinese can have a font that only include those characters while English/Spanish/etc could use a font with only Latin characters.


 

I2 Localization allows changing the font based on the current language.


To enable that feature, you need to create a term to identify the font.

Then, select which font will be used on each language.



On each localized label, assign the created term to the Secondary Term field.

Secondary Terms are context dependent. For labels it will allow changing the Font, for Sprites will change the Atlas, etc.





Notice that I2 Localization has a tools that allows you find the minimal set of characters needed in the font for each language. That can be used to reduce memory even further.
