Adding a Normal Map increases the detail of the shape by faking the lighting of bumps and dents.
It will adds details to surfaces that will make it look more rough and with depth.
Normal Maps will also depend on the lighting parameters defined in the Lighting section.
At the moment, Normal Map UV Mapping its tied to the values of the Face's Texture UV Mapping. So modifying one changes the other.
Face |
This is the intensity of the NormalMap effect in the Face section of the character (the inside of the character). |
Outline |
How much is the effect applied in the Outline sections. Making any of this two values 0, will disable the NormalMap in that region. |
Depth |
How strong is the effect. Higher values will make the bumps more visilble. The depth can be positive or negative. When using a negative value, the normal map is inverted. |
Texture UV |
Modify the mapping of the texture inside the character. When the mapping is disabled, the Face UV is used instead. So, to modify this values, open the Face section and tweak the Face Texture UV |
