Hi,
A few versions ago NGUI changed their example scenes and its atlases. That made the NGUI example scene of the I2 Localization to loose the references to those atlases.

That was corrected on version 2.4.4f1 which is now available on the store. I just double checked by importing NGUI 3.8.0 and I2 Localization 2.4.4f1 directly from the store in an empty project and its working fine for me.

Can you please update the I2 Localization and if you still find issues with the example scene, please, let me know.
Also, are you using Unity 5 or Unity 4?

Another good news is that version 2.4.4 introduces a plugin manager (Tools\I2 Localization\About),
That will automatically notify you whenever a new version is released (either in the AssetStore or in the beta group).

Also it has links to useful information and videos.
