Signal Distance Field Assets


To use the Rendering features of SmartEdge, the effect need custom SDF textures with one of the supported formats (SDF, MSDF, MSDFA).


Text elements like Unity UI Text, NGUI Label, etc, will need SDF fonts built with the SDF Font Maker tool. This fonts are Custom Bitmap Fonts, where the texture atlas is a Signal Distance Field.




Similarly, Sprites and Images should use SDF textures built with the SDF Image Maker editor.
