Changing the filter issue

So whenever i create a new term it refreshes the term list again and resets the filter... this is really frustrating considering i have to manually choose 'Nothing' then 'Selected filter' each time. I have a lot of terms so having to scroll down each time for each new term is also annoying...

There should be an option to not reset the filter.

I have looked through the code and i see why it does it... When you create a new term it basically clears the list thats shown and repopulates.. im guessing the filter resets there because it sees no entries for a second before re populating... anyone else have this problem and found a workaround?
